Positive Review: Batman goes back to its roots with Arkham Asylum. Where do I begin - the great graphics? The great story line? The great characters? The easy to learn and diverse control scheme? SOOOO much to see and do in this game. It's not just a beat-em-up, though there's plenty of that here. You really get the feeling that you're a high tech, 21st century detective. And I really like how you can use Batman's zip line to attach and perch yourself atop high vantage points. Batman fights, zips around, glides, flings "Batarangs," follows chemical scents; pretty much anything and everything you'd expect him to do. There's not a chink in Arkam Asylum's armor. I have to say that this is probably my favorite PS3 title, and that's saying something as I have roughly 40 or so PS3 games. If you own a PS3, GET THIS GAME! You will not be disappointed.
Negative Review: Way too short. I finished this in 2 days. Puzzles and fighting are way too repetitive and easy. Batman stands right in the way of your view with a huge cape that blocks half the screen. There is very little in the way of upgrades, options, weapons (none), and zero customization. Online play is just time races or point scoring contests, all in single player mode (the online part is just to show you stats).
